Wednesday Morning Message Board
April 9, 2008
I like the idea of creating my own forum, because I like getting comments from everyone and… yeah…I like broadcasting stuff via my Webernet page. Should this be more of a blog or more of a forum? Or a fantastic combo platter?
David, just wanted to say that your one comment showed up as Spam because 2girls1cup was somehow involved in your response. hahaha (I just now saw your comment, needless to say. In response, I think there’s a healthy level of stalking-age.)
Brandon, you need to blog again. You should start up your Xanga again just because. And you and Vince need to come to my Happy Hour. And HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAAAAY, OLD MAN!!!!
BKT TURNS 26 TOMORROW!!!!!
Evolution…?
April 9, 2008
Yeah, so I tried to come up with a better title for this post, but…yeah, I couldn’t. So, ladies and gents, can you guess what this post is about?
Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Men!
Just kidding.
The Subject: Missy’s Evolution of Bloggage-ing
Step 1) Diary Songwriting
I wrote my very first song at the age of… 5. In fact, I vividly remember sitting outside in my parents backyard, probably on my kickass swing set, singing the freaking song. It was probably entitled “So Blue” or something like that. I proceeded to write/create my own ree-ree songs about relationships (because I totally understood them…Martika and Tiffany helped me!) until the age of 10.
Step 2) Diary
Hell yes, I started keeping a diary at the sweet age of 7. Hell yes, I used “Dear Diary” to start my entries until the age of 12. Hell yes, I think I still have every one of my diaries/journals. Hell yes, I still write (literally) from time to time. Hell no, I’ve never had juicy diary entries. It’s always been about my feelings and reacting to stuff that had happened to me, which I guess isn’t so odd. Still…wait, no. I take that back. Of course, I have secrets in there. Oh, and some poems. My high school years were all about poetry.
Step 3) LiveJournal? NOOOOOOO!
With the advent of the Interwebs, I starting using what any logical, young college student would use–XANGA! I was silly with it for the most part, but I’d also use it to drool over rockstars (*ahem* now THAT was funny–ask who and I’ll tell you) and make fun of things that had happened to me/people I’d met/things I’d seen/blah/blah/blah. Actually, it was probably pretty entertaining to most people.
I used Xanga for over two years, until someone freaked me out/stalked me enough for me to shut it down. Not gonna lie…it was kind of a sad afternoon.
Step 4) Random Blogger-ing
I was a chronic Blogger/Blogspot-starter-upper for awhile. I have several of ‘em out there (at least 5), but I’ve never got past writing one or two entries for any of them. Then I refuse to tell anyone about them because they’re “secret,” wait too long between entries, forget the logins…rinse and repeat.
Step 5) MySpace
Hello, it’s there. Why the hell not?
Step 6) WordPress
Here I am now. I don’t know why I decided to start using WordPress; I could just keep writing on MySpace since I don’t really take the posts toooo seriously, and I still won’t post anything too personal. Oh well. I think I just like having my name in the URL.
The end of this post is pretty anticlimactic, huh? I’ll be back for another round later. I promise I won’t blogger this one.
